What is the Metro Community League?
The Metro Community League or MCL is a league geared at teams made up of players looking for more than a traditional recreational experience but are not quite competitively ready to compete at the travel or academy level.
Where are MCL games played?
One of the main focuses for the MCL is to keep games within the DC Metro Area. Games will be held on fields in DC and Alexandria.
Can I sign up as an individual player in the MCL?
Currently, all MCL registrations are team-based. If you are an individual looking to get involved with a team in MCL, please contact Nick Papadis (nick@alexandria-soccer.org) and we can connect you with programs in your area who are participating in the league.
Can I sign up my team for MCL?
Yes, teams may sign up for MCL. To sign up, email Nick Papadis at nick@alexandria-soccer.org
What do I get as part of my MCL registration?
Teams in the Metro Community League get 6 games within their age group and a Jamboree (two shortened games and festivities) as part of their registration. MCL fees cover referees, fields, the jamboree, and administrative costs. MCL DOES NOT provide uniforms to teams
participating.
What divisions does MCL have?
MCL breaks down divisions into two grade blocks. We currently have the following: Girls 3rd/4th Grade, Girls 5th/6th Grade, Boys 3rd/4th Grade, and Boys 5th/6th Grade. Teams will be based on the age of the oldest players in their group.
