About Metro Community League
The purpose of creating and hosting the Metro Community League (MCL), an intermediate league for 3rd to 6th boys and girls players, is to provide a more professionalized game day experience.
The league has emphasis on maximizing participation, supporting flexibility and limiting the barriers of entry to play. These pillars will guide the administrative decisions to better support the league experience.
Alexandria Soccer Association (ASA) operates the administrative and business operations under the Metro Community League (MCL) name. For transparency and commitment to a neutral operation we avoid using “ASA”and commit to operating as “MCL.”
No player payments or information will be collected. Clubs and associated coaches are committed to operating in a friendly environment that is collaborative in nature and does not allow poaching players for travel teams.
The Metro Community League (MCL) is proud to welcome teams from DC, Virginia and Maryland metro regions. Competition is open to all non-travel players (players not currently playing on a USYS or US Club Soccer sanctioned team).

Covers registration & scheduling. Team/club agrees to host several home games & provide referees for those games.
